Diriyah Company has unveiled its new Media and Innovation District as part of its $63.2 billion masterplan in Saudi Arabia. The district aims to expand the region’s creative industries by establishing a dynamic ecosystem that encourages innovation and collaboration among local and global leaders in technology, media, and communications.
Launched at MIPIM in Cannes, this cutting-edge hub will serve as a home for global media networks, creative agencies, and professionals, offering state-of-the-art infrastructure designed with sustainability in mind and an exceptional quality of life.
Covering 250,000 square meters of office space, the district will feature approximately 450 residential units, over 15,000 square meters of retail space, and diverse dining options. The development will also include the 325-room luxury 1 Hotel Diriyah, the first property in the Middle East from the global 1 Hotels brand, built using sustainable, local materials.
Located near the planned 20,000-seat Diriyah Arena, this district is part of the second phase of Diriyah’s urban development masterplan. It is set to host major tech giants and innovation hubs that will drive digital transformation, content creation, and technological advancement. The district has already attracted significant interest from investors, global broadcasting companies, and industry leaders.
In addition, MIPIM 2025 saw the announcement of Armani Residences Diriyah, a collection of 15 exclusive residences featuring bespoke interiors curated by iconic designer Giorgio Armani. Diriyah Company also highlighted key assets and commercial office leasing opportunities within the project.
The district’s office buildings are designed with sustainability at the forefront, featuring cutting-edge technologies and expansive, light-filled workspaces. Diriyah Company also showcased substantial commercial office leasing and investment opportunities within the larger $63.2 billion Diriyah masterplan, which includes 1.6 million square meters of office space, 566,000 square meters of retail space, more than 40 hotels, 18,000 luxury residences, and various cultural, entertainment, healthcare, and sports facilities.
Developed on the outskirts of Riyadh, Diriyah is one of Saudi Arabia’s five major giga-projects, backed by the world’s fifth-largest sovereign wealth fund, the Public Investment Fund. Once completed, Diriyah aims to house more than 100,000 residents, create 178,000 jobs, attract 50 million annual visitors, and contribute $18.6 billion to Saudi Arabia’s GDP.
