Dubai: Damac to Unveil Miami-Based Luxury Project and Create Jobs Across the US

Damac Properties is set to launch a luxury condominium project in Miami this year, designed by the renowned Zaha Hadid Architects, according to the company’s founder, Hussain Sajwani. The project is part of Damac’s broader expansion strategy in the US real estate and data center sectors.
“We recently announced an initial investment of $20 billion in Miami, with plans to potentially double this based on future demand, market opportunities, and scalability,” Sajwani told Khaleej Times. “We remain committed to evaluating premium real estate and data center opportunities across key US markets.”
Earlier this month, Edgnex Data Centres, a digital infrastructure arm of Damac, announced plans to establish a presence in the US with a target capacity of 2,000MW over the next four years. This venture represents an initial investment of $20 billion, with the potential for significant expansion.
In a joint press conference with US President Donald Trump, who recently took office as the 47th president, Sajwani highlighted the favorable business environment under the new administration. “The Trump administration’s focus on economic growth and pro-business policies creates an encouraging environment for investment and entrepreneurship,” he stated.
The first phase of Damac’s data center project will focus on building capacity through joint ventures, land acquisitions in collaboration with utility providers, and purchasing existing platforms.
Sajwani also emphasized the job creation potential of these projects. Significant opportunities will emerge in the data center sector, particularly in the Sunbelt states (Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, and Louisiana) and the Midwest (Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, and Indiana). “We aim to build strong, localized teams with deep market expertise, adding to our current pool of over 100 seasoned professionals,” he added.
Damac’s US expansion underscores its commitment to leveraging emerging market opportunities while fostering economic growth and job creation in key regions.
